Daiso Haul

Hey guys! So a long while ago now, I went to Daiso, a Japanese 100-yen shop (like a $2 shop) that sells everything for $2.80. So... like a $2.80 shop. But that doesn't have the same ring to it.

The basic idea behind Daiso is they sell HEAPS of stuff for super cheap, like a regular bargain store, except everything is Japanese and there are lots of unique things like storage, pretty stationary and MAKEUP that you might not find in other bargain stores!

So of course I went to go buy insanely cheap makeup. I didn't pick up any eyelashes, but I believe they also have very nice false eyelashes if you're interested in that.

But here's what I picked up! Unfortunately because this was ages ago I don't remember the names of everything, but this is more to show you the kinds of products you can pick up:
  • Black Floral Compact in Ecru
  • Eyeliner Coat
  • Ellefar Felt Eyeliner in Black
  • Cream Eyeshadow in Rose Gold (I think it had a proper name but I can't remember it)

Here they are opened up:

The first product is the little compact, which I really just bought for the packaging and figured I could replace it with any pan that would fit if I wanted (I'm hoping Makeup Geek blush will!). But what came with it was a powder foundation. The colour actually matches me fairly well, it's lighter than it looks in the pan. The only thing is that it contains glitter which is fairly annoying and I didn't realise at the time due to the lighting. This doesn't get a lot of use, I mostly keep it on my vanity as a pretty accessory. It does have a mirror though and clicks shut nicely, so would definitely be great for any product that you may want to depot into it!

The powder is lighter than it looks in the pan.
Next is this pretty cream eyeshadow. This is very different from a Maybelline Colour Tattoo or the like, it in fact feels more like a cream-to-powder formula as it is very dry to the touch. So it takes a bit of work to get it onto your eyelid and needs a bit of layering, but the colour is so gorgeous (see below!) and seriously lasts for ages. I wore this to a night out in NZ and slept with it on, and the next morning it hadn't budged. I feel like this would be a great base for other eyeshadows over the top, but still is really, really gorgeous as an all over colour.

This next product is the only one I use nearly every day - their liquid liner. I love liquid liner in pen form, I find it so easy to use and less messy than those in a pot. The nib is quite a bit thicker than others I own - for example Maybelline Master Precise - but I find the formula darker and more opaque, and this hasn't dried out on me, unlike my Master Precise.

I definitely think this is worth the $2.80, and is up to par with my other liquid liners I use equally as often.

My last product, the eyeliner coat, I really only picked up to try out because I've never seen a product like this before. It reminds me of like, really watered down PVA glue that you use for papier mache, just because it's kind of a half-opaque white colour. It doesn't actually feel PVA guys! To be honest, I haven't noticed much of a different putting this over my eyeliner in terms of lasting power, although, to be fair, I've only tried it on liquid liner. I had forgotten I owned this so I might have to dig it out to try again. If you find your liner fading over the day, it might be worth trying this out as a possibly cheap fix.

And there we go, that was my little Daiso haul! Have you ever been there? If so, tell me what I need to pick up! And, as always, thanks for reading guys.
